Company

MyGov365 is a non-partisan, real-time communication network for civic and government participation on the local, state and national levels.

The company sprang out of simple frustration. Our founder and president Jay Resio woke up one Saturday morning to find his front lawn and sidewalk spray painted all different colors.

Looking up and down the street, he noticed the same of his neighbors' lawns. He knocked on doors until he finally found out what was going on. The spray painting was done by a telecommunications company that had signed a deal with the township to install new communication lines; the paint marking where they would be digging up neighborhood lawns.

Jay quickly went from a bewildered and uninformed citizen to a very angry one as he had just paid good money to get his grass reseeded.

Now, shame on him for not attending the council meeting when this deal was discussed. And, shame on him for throwing out the community paper or magazine (if he even received it) in which was buried the sentence or two that publically announced the deal. In Jay's defense, he has a full time job, a family and other commitments.

This event started Jay thinking -- in an age where 9 billion things are done digitally and technology is constantly being used to enhance communication and collaboration, there had to be a better way...

A better way for citizens to be part of the legislative decision making process.

And, a better way for elected officials and government entities to get feedback from citizens.

A way to facilitate easy and efficient communication between citizens and their government that would help elected officials make more relevant decisions and better represent their constituents.

And so... MyGov365 was born.
